Do you know that water leaking is one of the most common problems that everyone that owns an ice maker have to deal with?

When it comes to water leaking, I’m sure that you’ve experienced it in one way or another. Just imagine if your washing machine or your air conditioner is leaking water all over your house. How would you feel about that?

Yes, it’s not a pleasant experience to have, but that problem is going to happen more often than not.

It would not be a problem if you buy the best portable ice maker on the market because they’re really durable. But sometimes it will happen. And when it comes, you have to know how to deal with it first.

Of course, call a professional is an easy choice. But what if they’re not available and the problem is getting out of hand real quick?

That’s why at least you have to know how to fix it yourself. After you’ve done everything and the problem is still happening then it’s time to call the pros. But you should be the first one to act.

Below is an outline of things you should do when you notice your ice maker is leaking water:

-Check if your ice maker is perfectly standing without leaning on any side. If it’s not standing straight then it’s really easy for water to leak.

-See if the water supply line is the cause. Take a look at it. Is it plugged in properly? If it’s not then you have to remove it and put it in. Just do it slowly but surely.

-Another thing that you should take a look at is the water inlet valve. It’s should be where you connect the water supply line in. But before doing anything, remember to disconnect the power cord.

That’s some simple things that you should take a look at if your ice maker is leaking. Feel free to check out the guide to the best undercounter ice maker that I’ve found here.
